Do Silhouette® shades provide privacy at night?
With the vanes open, Silhouette® shades are designed primarily for daytime privacy and filtered views. At night, when interior lights are brighter, close the vanes for greater privacy or select a Duolite® or A Deux™ configuration with an additional room-darkening shade.
Are Silhouette® shades blackout?
Silhouette® shades are available in light-filtering and room-darkening configurations, but the standard design is not a true blackout treatment. For greater darkness, Duolite® or A Deux™ combines the sheer shading with a separate room-darkening roller shade in one streamlined headrail.
Can Silhouette® shades be motorized and automated?
Yes. Silhouette® shades can be equipped with PowerView® Automation for control by remote, smartphone, or tablet. You can create scenes and schedules that automatically adjust the shades throughout the day or around sunrise and sunset.
How much do Silhouette® Window Shadings cost?
Silhouette® shades are custom-made, so pricing depends on the window dimensions, selected fabric, vane size, operating system, and optional enhancements such as ClearView®, Duolite®, or PowerView® Automation. An in-home consultation and professional measurement are required for an accurate quote.
